This study systematically elucidates that the "performance designability" of semi-solid-formed magnesium alloys can be achieved by adjusting the Al/Zn ratio, providing valuable reference for future magnesium alloy design. Medium Al/Zn ratio alloys (such as AZ64-AZ37) are suitable for structural-functional integrated components requiring strength, plasticity, and thermal conductivity, such as automotive seat frames and electronic device housings. High Zn alloys (such as Mg-10Zn), with their excellent thermal conductivity, show potential in thermal management applications such as heat dissipation modules and LED substrates. Future research directions may include introducing microalloying elements such as rare earth elements and calcium to optimize high-temperature performance and corrosion resistance, and promoting pilot-scale verification and industrial applications, thus achieving a leap from laboratory research to engineering practice.
