Magnesium alloy sheet and slab have many advantages such as low density, high specific strength, good electromagnetic shielding, easy processing and good damping performance, that’s why widely used in many fields such as Aerospace, Automobile Manufacturing, Automobile, Electronic products, etc. Due to Low melting point, chemical nature, the purification of the alloy is a problem; magnesium itself close-packed hexagonal structure, less slip, room temperature deformation performance is poor, to get good deformation properties of magnesium alloy sheet and slab, Times of rolling, which makes the processing cost is high. These two key factors limit the magnesium alloy sheet and slab of the promotion and popularization; the current military and special industries have a small amount of magnesium alloy sheet and slab applications.
After making many years effort on the magnesium plates’ developing and practice, we already found our special system and technical route. We thought it only the pure raw material can make the best quality of plates. The slab rolling technology is the core of the grain crushing technology. We have been using low frequency electromagnetic semi-continuous casting method for preparing magnesium alloy billet, to the preparation of magnesium alloy plate and the slab billet, and constantly improve and perfect; Blank after equal channel angular extrusion formation of magnesium alloy plate strip; Plate with the multichannel time after isothermal rolling, can form good performance of magnesium alloy plate and the slab.
A strip of metal material supplied in a roll having a large aspect ratio.
