Magnesium Anode Rod
Magnesium rods are excellent sacrificial anodes that protect the interior metal surface of water heater tanks. The magnesium corrodes preferentially instead of your tank. These rods tend to be consumed quicker than aluminum or aluminum/zinc/tin anode rods due to the higher voltage they create during the sacrificial process.
Standard Size: 3/4" O.D. x 39" length
Aluminum/Zinc/Tin Anode Rod
This metal combination is often used when foul odor is present in water. Zinc is a natural anti-fungal element that helps control (though not completely eliminate) the growth of iron bacteria that can cause rotten egg smell. Zinc oxide and zinc compounds are indigestible to micro-organisms such as bacteria.

Aluminum Anode Rod
Aluminum anode rods are the most economical option and create the lowest voltage during the sacrificial process. This typically results in slower corrosion rates compared to other anode types, though actual water conditions will affect corrosion rates.

Flexible Aluminum Anode Rod
Designed for limited spaces where straight anode rods cannot be inserted due to restricted access above the water heater, such as low ceilings, closets, attics, under stairwells, or in basements.
