Product Description
Pure tungsten melts at about 3380°C and cannot be added directly into aluminum or titanium melts. This AlW50 aluminum tungsten master alloy (lump, 50-100 mm) pre-alloys the tungsten, greatly lowering the melting point so the tungsten element can be added efficiently. Alloy grades such as Al-5W, Al-10W and Al-20W are typical; this product is the high tungsten AlW50 (50% W) grade, balanced with aluminum.
Produced and supplied from Hunan, China, it is mainly used for aluminum matrix composite development. Charging broken pieces or ingots into the melt gives high tungsten recovery, uniform composition and low segregation.
