Cathodic Protection, also referred to as a sacrificial cathode, is a technique used to control the corrosion of a metal surface by making it the cathode of an electrochemical cell. A simple method of protection connects protected metal to a more easily corroded “ sacrificial metal “ to act as the anode. Zinc Anode are cast from high grade zinc alloyed to ensure an even corrosion pattern, reliable electrical efficiency and long working life. It meet U.S. Military specifications U.S. MIL A-1800 I J and are resistant to the formation of zinc hydroxide around the anode surface, which restricts current flow and can shorten anode life.
